Bilim Kızı Scholarship Support
Within the scope of the “Bilim Kızı” project, it is aimed to provide Bilim Kızı Scholarship Support to our girls who are entitled to the ‘Bilim Kızı Project MENTORING Support’, who want to receive the “Bilim Kızı SCHOLARSHIP Support” and who are studying for a bachelor’s degree in basic sciences, a master’s degree in life sciences and a doctorate degree and who need scholarship support.
In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Turkey, our scholarships are provided through our ‘Bilim Kızı Scholarship’ fund that we have opened through the foundation with which we have made a stakeholder agreement. Even if they are entitled to the ‘Bilim Kızı Project MENTORING Support’ to apply for a scholarship, they will not be candidates for the Bilim Kızı scholarship support;
a. Foundation (private) university students, open education / distance education students,
b. Those in paid exchange programs,
c. Preparatory class students and those who have exceeded the normal education period excluding the preparatory class (For M.Sc.: 2 years)
d. Those who have been convicted and those who have received disciplinary punishment due to a disgraceful act during their education,
e. Those who have a sibling who continues to receive a scholarship from the Scholarship Partner cannot apply.

Application Process
The purpose of the “Bilim Kızı SCHOLARSHIP Support” is to provide support to students in need among the mentees who receive the ‘Bilim Kızı MENTORSHIP Support’ by granting SCHOLARSHIP through our Project Stakeholder (those who meet the conditions of the support).
The duties and responsibilities of the stakeholders of this program are defined below:

SCHOLARSHIP Stakeholder: In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Turkey, our scholarships are provided through our ‘Mete Ediz Çetin Science Girl Scholarship’ fund, which we have opened through the foundation with which we have made a stakeholder agreement.
“Bilim Kızı SCHOLARSHIP Support” is implemented at the beginning of each academic year. It starts with a call made in accordance with this procedure at the beginning of July-August on the “Bilim Kızı” website and social media accounts in July-August of each year.
The selection and evaluation of applicants for the announced program are made by the Bilim Kızı Project team and candidates who are found suitable as of September are directed to our Scholarship Partner. “Bilim Kızı SCHOLARSHIP Support” lasts for 9 months, following the evaluation process of our Scholarship Partner, between October and June of the relevant year, at the amounts announced by our Scholarship Partner.
The application process, evaluation, selection, and scholarship awarding process are explained below.
“Bilim Kızı'' SCHOLARSHIP Support” application conditions
In order to be eligible for the “Bilim Kızı SCHOLARSHIP Support”, candidates must complete the MENTORSHIP SUPPORT electronic application from the link provided on https://www.bilimkizi.org/ after the call announcement.
Only candidates who are notified that they are eligible for MENTORSHIP Support can apply for the ‘Bilim Kızı Scholarship Support’ from the Scholarship Partner link that we will announce. In order to apply for the scholarship, it is necessary to be eligible for the ‘Bilim Kızı Project MENTORSHIP Support’. Those who do not receive MENTOR Support or do not want to receive it cannot benefit from the “Bilim Kızı SCHOLARSHIP Support”.
Our scholarship support is given to students in the following departments and age ranges. Being an undergraduate student in the field of basic sciences (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy and space sciences, forensic sciences, bio-chemistry etc.) or a graduate student in the field of life sciences (Molecular Biology and Genetics, Bio-engineering, Medicine, Medicine, Dentistry, Materials sciences, Nanotechnology, Energy and environmental sciences, Information technologies, Space science etc.)
University preparatory class students cannot apply. The application age is between 18-28. The grade point average must be in the following range. At undergraduate level, a general grade point average of at least 2.5 out of 4, at graduate level, at least 3.00 out of 4.00, and graduating with at least 75 points out of 100 from universities that give grades A document showing that students who move from the preparatory class to the first year have successfully passed the preparatory class Having earned the right to transfer to the next grade and not having more than 3 failed courses,
Having foreign language exams, YDS, YÖKDİL etc. documents held by universities in graduate education Reference letters from two faculty members in graduate education (you can get a reference letter from your professors at the university.)
The following candidates cannot apply; In order to apply for a scholarship, it is a requirement to be entitled to the ‘Bilim Kızı Project MENTORING Support’. Candidates who do not want to receive mentoring support cannot benefit from the SCHOLARSHIP support. Foundation (private) university students, open education/distance education students, Those in paid exchange programs, Preparatory class students and those who have exceeded the normal education period except for the preparatory class (For M.Sc.: 2 years)

Scholarship Stakeholder Application Requirements and Process
Students who have been accepted to the ‘Bilim Kızı Project MENTORING Support’ and are candidates for scholarship support will also be evaluated by the Scholarship Stakeholder based on the information they provide on the application form.
The Scholarship Stakeholder provides undergraduate and graduate scholarships to successful university students who are in need of financial support.
Scholarship committees formed by educational institutions select scholarship holders in accordance with the scholarship conditions of the Scholarship Stakeholder.
The scholarship application date is published on the Scholarship Stakeholder page in September-October of the academic year. This application calendar is announced to the Bilim Kızı MENTİs through the contact information.
Candidates must also fill out a form on the Scholarship Stakeholder website. The Scholarship Stakeholder Scholarship Application Form will be printed out and signed, and the described procedure will be followed. T.R. be a citizen and need financial support according to their assets and income, Not working in any profitable job and not receiving a scholarship from another public or private institution,
Documents to be Attached and Document Delivery Process
Being a citizen of the Republic of Turkiye and needing financial support according to their assets and income status, They must upload the documents specified below to the link provided by SMS or e-mail, respectively.
Application Form for Scholarship Copy of Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) results and copy of YKS document showing the higher education institution where the student is placed, Student Certificate showing the class he/she will continue Back and front photocopy of your identity card or new identity card, 1 passport photo (Must be taken in the last 6 months and should be attached very well to the relevant place on the form.
Criminal Record Record (can be obtained from e-government), Those who passed to 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades, a transcript approved by the educational institution showing the courses they took during their education, their grades, and their general grade point average, Note: A document showing that students who passed from the preparatory class to the 1st grade successfully passed the preparatory class, Certified Population Registration Copy (Document taken in the name of the mother or father showing all family members (can be obtained from e-government)
Residence Place and Other Address Document showing the place of residence of the family (can be obtained from e-government) (If there is address information at the bottom of the Population Registration Copy, this you do not need to get the document.)
Documents showing the financial status of the family: (All documents received from e-government must be received with barcodes if they have a barcode feature and it must be visible in whose name the documents are.)
For working mothers and fathers; approved salary slip (Those working in public institutions can get it from e-government.)
For self-employed mothers and fathers; income tax return / corporate tax return statement showing the last years (can be obtained from www.gib.gov.tr.)
For retirees; document showing monthly salary (can be obtained from e-government.) Important Note: For retired but actively working mothers and fathers, approved salary slips must also be attached.
For unemployed mothers and fathers with no income; Document showing that there is no record in the Social Security Institution (4A/4B/4C Service Record and Social Security Registration Document) (can be obtained from e-government. Steps to follow after logging in to e-government: SGK Registration and Service Record-Service Record Type-Social Security Registration Document)
For mothers and fathers engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry; product/animal assets and income status statement (can be obtained from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry page on e-government.)
A list showing the title deed information in the name of the mother and father and a detailed list showing the share and m2 information in the list (must be obtained from e-government.), Important Note: (If there is no title deed record in the name of the mother and father, a document indicating that there is no such record must be added. (Must be obtained from e-government.)
If there is a vehicle in the name of the mother and father, - vehicle registration document; if there is no e-government printout/screenshot showing that there is no record with the name visible. (Must be obtained from e-government.)
If the family lives in a rented house, a sample lease contract Risk Center Report Document (Must be obtained from e-government for both mother and father.)
Candidates who will be invited to the interview after the evaluation of the Scholarship Stakeholder will be notified by e-mail and/or SMS; candidates who pass the preliminary evaluation will prepare their documents and upload them to the link we will provide by e-mail or SMS.
Candidates who are eliminated from the preliminary evaluation will be notified by SMS. Therefore, Please do not prepare any documents until you are informed of your evaluation results.
IMPORTANT NOTES, Selection, evaluation, Payment and later evaluation process
Important Notes:
Before applying for “Bilim Kızı SCHOLARSHIP Support”, make sure that the following checks are made.
Before applying, check whether there is a scholarship quota from your university and faculty announcements. If one of the documents to be added to the Scholarship Application Form is missing, the relevant fields at the end of the Scholarship Application Form are not filled, and the signatures are missing, the candidate will not be interviewed and the application will be considered invalid and will not be evaluated.
The selections will be made by the Scholarship Stakeholder scholarship committees to be established by the educational institutions. Those who currently receive a scholarship from another institution and those who receive a scholarship from the Credit and Dormitories Institution cannot apply for the “Bilim Kızı SCHOLARSHIP Support”.
There is no problem in receiving a Student Loan from the Credit and Dormitories Institution. Students who win the scholarship will be informed about the bank account where the scholarship will be deposited via SMS or e-mail.
The application form should definitely not be filled out from a mobile phone, you must fill it out from a computer. If you have any problems with the Online Scholarship Application form, you can send an e-mail from the relevant Scholarship Stakeholder website.
Scholarship Selection: Scholarship Stakeholder Scholarship Committees notify the Scholarship Stakeholder of the names of the winners among the candidates who participated in the interview with a signed report.
The final results are announced to the scholarship winners by the Scholarship Stakeholder via e-mail and/or SMS.
Scholarship Payment: The first payment will be made to the scholarship winners in December at the latest, effective as of October (October-November-December), and monthly payments will continue in the following months.
Scholarships are paid between October and June (9 months). No payments are made in other months.
Evaluation after the scholarship process: A satisfaction evaluation survey will be conducted after the new season for our students who have won the “Bilim Kızı SCHOLARSHIP Support” and whose scholarship payment has been made.
